Switching back to English again, because we are excited to welcome the man, the myth, the NYC legend Bobbito Garcia to our pod.
For almost 40 years ‚Kool Bob Love‘ has been New York’s ambassador for playground basketball, hip hop music and sneaker culture. That’s right up our alley just in case you haven’t noticed! So, of course we take a walk down memory lane and dive right into NYC’s rich streetball history. What’s so special about New York, anyway? Well, Bobbito has the answers.
As for sneaker culture we go over the very beginnings (hint: it did not start with the Air Jordan 1) and talk about today’s status quo and where it is going. We also talk about Bobbito’s love for the game and his fondest memories of announcing games worldwide. Thanks for the tipps, Bob! For all y’all on the headphones, don’t miss out on this audio homage episode to NYC from one of the great New Yorkers out there!
